'Ama Options

We offer two distinct 'ama designs for the Vantage series canoe, each with their own performance characteristics.

WaveBlade 'Ama

The first and original style of 'ama is called the WaveBlade (is it styled after the WB 'ama?) (shown in photos as solid white). It is a stable 'ama designed for good performance in most ocean conditions. This design has proven itself many times over in competition environments as well as every day use.

Option #2 'Ama

The second 'ama option is called Option #2 (unless we have another name?) (shown in photos as white with black, red and orange paint). It's longer, wider, and has a larger volume than the WaveBlade 'ama. The sweep angle is also higher with a narrower front and a wider rear, giving it a better profile for surfing large waves.
